The Reviews

You have GOT to be kidding me!This book is garbage on steroids.I'll give you three examples and you tell me if these would be the things you'd consider to be, as the book says on its cover "Everything you always wanted to know about the arts but were afraid to ask."Secret 1: (from a museum director) "My museum is a playground."Secret 2: (from the CEO of a cultural communications company, whatever that means) "The image makes the story."Secret 3: (from the co-founder of a high-falutin' Art Fair) "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make. [and, if that wasn't bad enough he adds] You may recognize it as the last line from the last Beatles song."It goes in this vein. Pompous, pseudo-deep sounding nonsense from self-important blowhards. The authors and the publisher belong in prison for fraud.

Not what I expected. It's a book of "quotes"...mostly "opinions" or "feelings". Nothing "specific" or "factual"...just a lot of "quotation marks".

A collection of dumb quotes and banalities arranged in too many fonts , the design is horrible, the content worse. Don't waste your money. I wasted 20 minutes too long on the book, it's going right in the wastebasket. I can't think of anyone I would want to share it with, who might find it interesting.

Yesterday I finished reading your book 100 Secrets of the Art World. Great!!!I couldn't stop, in less than 2 hours I read, highlighted and nearly made my brain explode. Even the design it's an artwork by itself

Might be one of the dumbest books I’ve ever tried to read. Totally misleading...most of the passages aren’t “insider secrets”, rather weird esoteric drivel.

Essentially just a bunch of quotes the likes of which you could find on Wikiquote. Nothing useful, and over the top, hard to read design.

As an artist this has inspired me.

Great little book. Easy to read - each page is a quote from an artist. Quick read and a nice book to have on the coffee table. Would be a nice gift for any artist.

I bought this book as a bundle with Dr. Resch's new edition of 'Management of Art Galleries' (which is pink..!). I still can't decide which I enjoyed more.'100 Secrets' is well designed, informative, and a wonderfully entertaining read. Even my partner, who never took to exploring the art world during my 7 years running a gallery, spent time flipping through this handy little book. It's one that we, and our guests have enjoyed revisiting. I particularly enjoy the book's variety of featured celebrity names as well as those lesser-known to a non-expert audience. Bravo!

arrived in one piece & on time...didn't read as it was a gift (well received by recipient)

A good book for artists, educational. The product itself came undamaged
