The Reviews

In decent shape and came even faster than expected. Was wondering how dated, but doesn't seem to be a later edition. Going to find out what percentage of content is still relevant. For the cost it's worth it.

An amazing amount of marketing info. The best part, it's divided into relatable headings guiding you to options that weren't on your radar. Brilliantly done. Will buy again another year and as my creative pieces evolve.

I bought this book and it's helpful in terms of naming companies, but the information about portfolio reviews and addresses isn't accurate! I bought the 2018 version and went to do a portfolio review right away (summer 2018). The address was wrong AND the portfolio review policy was incorrect even once I found the right address. Makes me lose trust in the whole book unfortunately.

This has been a great resource for many years. Just upgraded to this edition.

Good book less relevant.

I bought this as a gift for an artist and he said it's a very helpful book. Some of the advice is of the usual variety, but reminders never hurt.

This book is packed with tid bits and examples. The chapters are well laid out. The amount of reading is a bit overwhelming at times.

Great book

I purchased this book in April of 2018 and used it in my mailing campaign soon after. I had noticed a lot of outdated listings, but sent post cards to some contacts that did look like they could be okay. I did this for six mailings over a twelve month period. Requirements to know QuarkXpress, instructions to send transparencies or slides, are glaring red flags, of course, and I did avoid those. Every single post card I sent from this book's listings came back. I was also sending to addresses from a list service I pay for, so I didn't even realize right away what was happening. I can understand the individual contacts changing, as there is a big turnover with art directors and creative directors, but this was extreme. Not one address was valid.I was coming back to see if there might be an actual updated version, but could not find one. It's a shame, as I have had many copies of Artist's Market over the years and had very good luck with using it in the past.
